Sorry to say it is still a problem for me. Now that all my hosts are on Leopard, I'm using the ScreenSharing app directly with some of the hacks out there to give it many of the ARD controls. I don't need to do the full ARD thing, though.

I'd like to know how to get screen sharing to work with ARD enabled. I need ARD running on the hosts I manage, but I'd like to be able to allow users to remotely connect to their currently running desktop session. Have you figured that one out?

I agree, the two sites are very different and like Doug Tygar said one is more professional oriented than the other one.The only problem is that with some of these sites you can't get your pictures back after your subscription expires!!! That is why now I want to make sure that if I decide to stop my subscription I could get all my photo in their original sizes.

Interesting - I had almost the exact same experience today. Friends had previously mentioned to me that because I work in the insurance field I would not be chosen to serve on the jury. I wonder how working in the insurance field could influence my decision in a domestic violence case unless the defense felt that I would be prejudice for the police.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks for posting. Lessig puts to words what my intuition has been telling me all along about Hillary. I'd love to see a woman president. But Hillary isn't the right candidate. I think the republicans would have a field day with her if she wins the nomination.

I'd go with LCD in your room given the glare. I've been researching the displays too and everything I've heard is that LCDs are pretty much required in rooms with lots of light and glass. The only negative with LCD is that super fast action movement may blur sometimes (eg. sports, action movie). Before you buy, I'd see if you can repro that in hifi store to see if it might bother you just to be on the safe side.

I had wanted to go to this event but when I brought it up to my manager(s) I found out we don't have a conference budget anymore. Bummer! It sounds like just the sort of event that would have been the perfect inspiration for me. I'm glad I got to read the summary on your blog.

Hey Michael,

I got here from the Maktub website. On that site you have a picture of a Portugese water dog. Is he yours? I have a brown wavy that looks incredibly like yours. I live in Montana and am looking for a breeder to get another one. Can you share the breeders name/contact info? Thanks. Glen

When I scan a sheet at 600dpi and send it through "Reduce File Size" & OCR in Adobe Acrobat Std 7, I end up with a PDF that's about 30kb to 50kb. [Scans had to be at 600dpi or greater, otherwise the resulting PDF was much larger. It's the "Best" setting Scansnap Manager]

When I do the same with DEVONthink Pro Office, I got a file that was several hundred kb in size.

The culprit, from what I could find, was the ReadIris OCR Engine. I got similar results with the standalone ReadIris app.

Perhaps you could try a few test scans before settling on a workflow.

Hope this helps

PS: I used the Fujitsu Scansnap fi-5110EOXM

Make sure they get that drainage to go all the way around the permiter of the house. It should sit just below the foundation. You should have zero water problems then.

Enjoying the job, thanks Daniel. I really like working for Apple - it really embraces my customer-first attitude. :)

On Tangerine, I am still enjoying it. I haven't had it modify my tunes directly, rather I play stuff within their interface. However, I'd never operate on songs unless I had them backed up. I have an external drive I use for this purpose. Storage is cheap! Back up, my friend!

Hi Michael, hope all is going well for you in the new job. You should post an update.

It's been a while since you've posted this, and I wonder if you're still happy with Tangerine? I'd love to have this metadata populated for my tracks, but I've got a lot of songs (like 22k), mostly in lossless, and I'm pretty far behind in backups.

Do you think it's safe to run it against everything? Also, what's your process for adding this metadata to new stuff? Just run it again?

Finally, do you find you're able to create playlists using just iTunes once this metadata is present, or are you still creating playlists using Tangerine?
